Open House: Christmas In Elkridge
In addition to our usual open house from 10am to 2pm, we are planning:
1. Cookie Swap – bring a plate of cookies and exchange them for ones other people bring!
2. Hot Apple Cider and other snacks – we will provide some munchies, including coffee and tea. I’ll bring some deviled eggs for some protein.
3. Tree Trimming: Nikki has donated some Christmas trees and we are going to be decorating. If you have an ornament to donate, bring it and join in the fun! We have some ornaments at the house too, so if you don’t have any to bring, you can still participate.
4. Caroling in the “Map Room” – at 11am we are hoping to have some local choir members join us for a few old fashioned carols, a capella. If you would like to sing, please let me know. I will provide sheet music and a toy piano for pitches.
5. Gift Shop is Open! – we have Elkridge Mugs, Commemorative plates with Elkridge landmarks, Historic Elkridge Coloring Books, history books and booklets on Elkridge, some fiction by Elkridge writers… do some last minute Christmas shopping!
6. Museum – if you haven’t seen it yet, please come check it out! We are very proud of what we have accomplished.
Weather is trending okay for this event thus far, but this is Maryland! We’ll keep you informed of any changes.
As always, parking is available but may involve walking. Please keep the driveway free for drop-offs and pick-ups (enter on Elkridge Heights). There are two paved spots near the back door, first come first served. Parking is on Main Street, and at Grace Church. You can park on the grass next to the parking pad if the ground is not muddy.
