Brumbaugh House Flood

After a brief hiatus due to Covid, the Elkridge Heritage Society is back in action!  We are starting to plan some awesome events for the upcoming year and are looking forward to sharing the history of our historic town.  Unfortunately, before we could even get these events and plans in place we recently walked into a flood in the Brumbaugh House (our home base, and home to Dr. Brumbaugh and his practice throughout much of our modern Elkridge history.)  As most that are familiar with us know, we have many historic documents in the Brumbaugh house.  It does appear these documents are currently safe which is good news.  The bad news is we do not currently know what the total damages are yet.

While we are working with our insurance on this issue, we are hoping we can reach out to our community to help us through the current cash flow issue we are having between getting items fixed and receiving payments from insurance.  How much money do we need?  We are not currently sure as this just happened and we are only in the cleanup stage.

How can you help?  You can donate to our not for profit 401c3 here at:

https://elkridgeheritage.org/donate/

Anyone donating $25 or more will become an individual member / supporter of our local history, and any / all donations would be greatly appreciated.  The Elkridge Heritage Society appreciates any support you can provide at this time.  We also are looking forward to announcing an upcoming event in the very near future!  Stay tuned for updates on the Brumbaugh house and upcoming events!
