Because our community is constantly changing, so is our heritage. This is why we are the Elkridge HERITAGE Society, not the Elkridge Historical Society. We don’t just capture deep history, though it is a lot of our mission. We also want to capture how Elkridge is changing over the decades. Most people in the Elkridge borders did not grow up here, or have deep roots here. But we hope they will plant roots. Learning the history of your home is one way to feel a tie to the community, but adding your story to that history is important too.
