Lower Elkridge School on School House Lane

The photo below of an existing duplex home was once a school house. What is now called Railroad Avenue in Lower Elkridge was once called School House Lane. According to an article in the EHS archives (though no author was given):

“The earliest record of a pubic school in Elkridge dates to 1830. The
small 2 room building, now a duplex home, was owned by Grace
Church and located on what was known as School House Lane, which
connected Railroad Avenue to Paradise Ave. (or then, the Old Post
Road).”

The photo below, also shown in the Elkridge School House article in the Elkridge Knowledge Base, was possibly taken in front of this school.
